Crystal: “Many youngsters prefer to eat unhealthy snacks and drink sugary beverages. But eating fruits and vegetables and drinking water have many health benefits! It is therefore important to promote healthy eating habits among youngsters. The unique feature of the MyMovez project is that the focus is on the strength of the social network (i.e., for example, have the youngster tell each other the benefits of eating healthy snacks).”
Crystal Smit (MSc.) is one of the PhD students within the MyMovez research project.
She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Care Studies (Pedagogy) and a Research Master’s degree in Behavioural Science, both at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Since September 2014, Crystal is working as a PhD and focuses on the eating behaviors of youngsters. She also works as a web editor for Bitescience, partner of MyMovez and affiliated with the Radboud University as well.
